How the AI Caption Generator Works
When you upload media and click "Generate with AI", LinkySend sends a description of your image or video content (extracted via computer vision), your selected target networks, your preferred tone (professional, casual, humorous, or inspirational), and any keywords you have provided to a large language model. The model returns three caption variants, each optimised for the specific character limits and cultural norms of your target platforms. The entire generation takes under 3 seconds.
Setting Your Tone and Keywords
Before generating, you can configure two optional inputs: Tone and Keywords. Click the "AI Settings" cog next to the generate button to reveal these fields. Tone options are Professional, Casual, Humorous, and Inspirational. Keywords are comma-separated words or phrases you want the AI to incorporate — brand names, campaign hashtags, or product names. These inputs dramatically improve the relevance of the generated captions.

When you generate captions with multiple networks selected, each variant includes notes showing how it fits each platform — for example, whether it stays within Twitter's 280-character limit, uses the recommended number of hashtags for Instagram, or adopts a more formal tone for LinkedIn. If you have enabled "Customise per network", the AI generates a separate caption for each platform automatically.
Editing and Regenerating
Generated captions are starting points, not finished copy. Click any variant to load it into the caption editor and modify it freely. If none of the three variants suits you, click "Regenerate" to get three new suggestions. You can regenerate as many times as needed — each regeneration call is counted against your monthly AI credit allowance (limits depend on your plan — see the Pricing page: /pricing).

Yes. By default, the AI includes a set of relevant hashtags at the end of captions for networks where hashtags are effective (Instagram, TikTok, X/Twitter). You can instruct the AI to omit hashtags by adding "no hashtags" to the Keywords field, or remove them manually from the generated caption.
What language does the AI generate captions in?
The AI generates captions in the language of your LinkySend interface by default. You can override this by adding a language instruction to the Keywords field — for example, "write in Spanish" or "écrire en français".
