Every social network has different video format requirements. LinkySend automatically checks your uploaded video against the specifications of each selected network and displays warnings before you publish. This reference guide covers the key specs for each supported platform so you can prepare your files correctly.

LinkySend's Automatic Format Checker

You do not need to memorise all these specs. When you upload a video to the Post Composer and select target networks, LinkySend automatically validates your file against each network's requirements and shows a warning badge on any network chip where the video does not comply. Hover over the badge to see the specific issue. Common issues include duration too long, file size too large, or incorrect aspect ratio. LinkySend does not currently transcode videos automatically — you will need to re-export from your video editor if a format issue is flagged.

FAQ

Does LinkySend automatically convert my video to the right format?

Not currently. LinkySend validates your video against each network's requirements and flags issues, but transcoding must be done by you in your video editing software before uploading. Automatic transcoding is on the product roadmap.

What is the maximum file size I can upload to LinkySend?

LinkySend accepts video files up to 4 GB per upload. However, each social network has its own size limit which may be lower. LinkySend will warn you if your file exceeds a specific network's limit.

Which video format works best across all networks?

MP4 with H.264 video codec and AAC audio codec is the most universally accepted format. 16:9 (horizontal) works best for YouTube, LinkedIn, and Facebook.

Upload your video to LinkySend and let our automatic format checker flag any issues before you publish.
