Managing Timezones for Scheduled Posts
LinkySend handles all scheduled posts in your account's configured timezone. Setting the correct timezone ensures your posts publish exactly when you intend — whether you're targeting a local audience or scheduling globally.
Setting your account timezone
Go to Dashboard → Settings → Account. Under "Publishing Timezone", select your timezone from the dropdown. All new scheduled posts will use this timezone. This is a one-time setup — LinkySend remembers your preference.
How it works in the composer
When you schedule a post in the composer, the date/time picker shows times in your account timezone. The selected time is stored and LinkySend converts it to UTC internally for reliable publishing across server infrastructure. You always see times in YOUR timezone in the dashboard.
Targeting audiences in different timezones
If your audience is spread across multiple timezones (e.g., US + Europe), consider creating two separate posts with different scheduled times. For example, schedule 8 AM ET for US followers and 8 AM CET for European followers. LinkySend's bulk scheduling feature makes this efficient.
FAQ
What happens if I change my timezone after scheduling posts?
Changing your account timezone does NOT retroactively shift your already-scheduled posts. They will still publish at the original UTC time they were set to. Only new posts after the timezone change will reflect the new setting. We recommend changing timezones before scheduling new content, not after.
Does LinkySend adjust for Daylight Saving Time (DST)?
Yes. LinkySend automatically adjusts for DST changes in your selected timezone. If your region observes DST and the clocks change after you've scheduled a post, the post will still publish at the correct local time you intended.
