How to Reschedule or Cancel a Scheduled Post
Need to change the timing of a scheduled post, or cancel it entirely? LinkySend makes this easy from both the Calendar view and the Posts list. Availability: LinkySend currently connects Bluesky, Mastodon, Tumblr, Telegram, and Discord. The other networks mentioned in this article are labelled “Coming soon” in the app: check each network’s status before relying on it.
Rescheduling from the Calendar
In Dashboard → Calendar, drag any scheduled post to a new date. A confirmation popup appears where you can also adjust the time. Changes take effect immediately.
Rescheduling from the Posts list
In Dashboard → Posts, find your scheduled post (filter by "Scheduled" status). Click the three-dot menu (⋯) → Edit. Change the scheduled date/time and click Save.
Cancelling a scheduled post
In Dashboard → Posts, click ⋯ → Cancel Schedule on any upcoming post. The post moves to Drafts — it won't be deleted, so you can reschedule or edit it later. To permanently delete: click ⋯ → Delete Post.
FAQ
Can I edit a post after it has published?
LinkySend cannot edit a post after it has been published directly on a network — that would require modifying the live post on Instagram, TikTok, etc. You can delete the published post from within LinkySend (which deletes it from the network too, if the API supports deletion) and republish an updated version.
What is the latest I can cancel a scheduled post?
You can cancel a scheduled post right up until its publish time. However, if the publish process has already started (usually within 30 seconds before the scheduled time), the cancellation may not take effect in time.
